 Some Nigerians have hailed a truck driver identified as Ejiro Otarigho in Ughelli North Local Government Area, Delta State after risking his life to prevent an explosion.

In the video which has become a growing sensation online, the driver was seen driving the truck amidst the huge flame that could have destroyed properties and lives in the town.

The driver was able to avoid the tanker explosion as he succeeded in driving the burning truck to a safe envrionment.

This earned him accolades as many Nigerians described him as a hero for saving the lives of others.

Magret Joseph wrote: “This truck driver Mr Ejior Otarigho deserves a National Honours for averting a National disaster that would have destroyed sources of lives and properties in Agbarho Town, Ughelli North LGA. See how the driver risks his life to divert the truck from town to a safe environment. I urge relevant authorities both National and state to act. Have spoken to Mr Ejiro, and he is safe and healthy.”

Drflezzy Emese wrote: “Please every Urhobo son and daughter should say a heartwarming thank you to Ejiro Otarigho averting what should have been a devastating Tanker Explosion in Agbarho Urhobo land. The selfless Hero of our generation, Thank you sir.”
