Cenntro Electric Group Limited alongside its subsidiary Cenntro Automotive Europe GmbH unveiled two all-electric commercial vehicles Sept. 19.
The Logistar 260 (LS260) and the Logistar 100 (LS100) join the LS product line now available globally in Class 1 to Class 4.
They were unveiled during the IAA Transportation 2022 conference in Hanover, Germany.
The first deliveries of the vehicles are planned for first-quarter 2023 in Europe. That will be followed by market launches in Asia, the Caribbean and South America.
“The LS260 rounds out Cenntro’s commercial vehicle lineup, providing fleets and businesses with best-in-class EV technology that supports the most robust operating cycles,“ Cenntro CEO Peter Wang said.
The LS260 was made for the commercial van segment with possible applications ranging from skilled trades, courier, parcel services, logistics solutions and facility management. It has a payload of 2,821.9 pounds and a range of up to 167.8 miles. It offers a load capacity of 264.86 cubic feet with two side loading doors and rear doors.
The LS260 is currently undergoing homologation tests in the European Union. Cenntro expects the vehicle to receive approval by the end of 2022.
“Our goal is to offer our customers adaptable electric vehicles that meets the requirements of different industries and application areas,” said Gregory Hancke, senior vice president of operations of Cenntro Automotive Europe.
The LS100 is a compact and light cargo van that was designed to serve diverse commercial applications. There was particular focus on population-dense urban areas. The vehicle has a range of 74 miles, a payload of 1,151 pounds and a cargo capacity of 73.3 cubic feet. The LS100 completed all homologation tests in compliance with the standards and requirements of the EU in July. — Transport Topics
